The Horningcote Flock lives on a smallholding in Cornwall, south-west England. This all started with 8 ewes (Erika, Esta, Elsa, Harriet, End, Edna, Mildred and Maud), one ram (Hector) and his friend (Cricket) because we tired of cutting grass all the time. And then the flock grew!

We now have 42 sheep with 19 lambs born this year and have learned a great deal about being shepherds.

Shetland sheep are fairly small being a primitive breed and come in a variety of colours and patterns - http://www.shetland-sheep.org.uk

Shearing once a year produces a lot of beautiful wool - about 1kg per sheep. Greg carefully shears the sheep each year. The wool was spun in Cornwall at the Natural Fibre Company www.thenaturalfibre.co.uk/, woven in Wales by Curlew Weavers http://www.westwales.co.uk/curlew.htm and washed in Scotland - an all British product.

We now have a small number of each of the products pictured in this site for sale. Please take a look.
